BLS | AED | CPR Classes & Certifications in Bend, Oregon Adventure Medics is excited to be offering a variety of medical training courses and certifications through the American Heart Association. From Basic Life Support for healthcare providers, to Heartsaver CPR, AED, and First Aid courses for the public, Adventure Medics has the personnel and expertise needed to make sure you're ready and confident in case of an emergency. Stay tuned as we will be releasing class dates and adding more courses in the near future. All the CPR classes are taught using American Heart Association curriculum. Heartsaver CPR AED The American Heart Association Heartsaver course is designed to prepare lay rescuers to preform CPR and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Heartsaver Instructor-led training is conducted in the classroom and features group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an AHA approved Adventure Medics Instructor. This Heartsaver Course does not include First Aid. If you are required to take a CPR and AED Course that includes First Aid, check out our Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (Combined Course. If you are a healthcare professional you may need to take a BLS provider course. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (Combined Course) This American Heart Association Heartsaver course is designed to prepare lay rescuers to preform Frist Aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Heartsaver Instructor-led training is conducted in the classroom and features group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an AHA approved Adventure Medics Instructor. If you are a healthcare professional you may need to take a BLS provider course. BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider The American Heart Association BLS Provider course (formerly BLS for Healthcare Providers) teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. BLS Provider Instructor-led training is conducted in the classroom and features simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA approved Adventure Medics instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam. This course is designed for individuals working in the healthcare industry. If you are unsure if you should be taking the BLS Provider course or another CPR course, ask your employer for clarification. If you work in the public sector you may only need to take a Heartsaver course. HeartCode BLS / Heartsaver Skills Session This Couse is designed for students who"™ve completed the online cognitive portions of the AHA HeartCode BLS class or any of the AHA Heartsaver First Aid / CPR AED classes, but who still need to complete the hands-on skills portions of those classes with an AHA instructor. The online portions for these skills sessions can be found here: The skills sessions must be completed within 60 days of finishing the online portions. Students need to bring a corresponding completion certificate with them to class. All materials including textbook, mask, AED"™s, and CPR manikins provided by Adventure Medics. Skill Sessions will include a practice portion and a testing portion with our instructors. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) The American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification Course is designed for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and or other cardiac emergencies. This course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills of simulated clinical scenarios. This Course Content includes: Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED High performance team dynamics The use of closed feedback communication loops Recognition of and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest and respiratory arrest Pharmacology Acute cardiac dysthymias Stoke Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) Post cardiac arrest care
